Europe is the definition of a one-way toxic relationship. Europeans overwhelmingly hate Americans and American values, and take advantage of the protection given by diverting defense spending into their heavily socialist, far-left ideology (Poland and Hungry being outliers). As soon as they are held to account, and rightfully threatened.. they throw a huge fit, and go further down the rabbit hole of hatred towards America. I only see it ending one way eventually, and Europe better start getting serious about its future. I'll never forget the defense spending being a hot topic about 8 yrs ago, and a poll was done in Germany and France on if their country should help America if it was ever attacked, and like 90% of citizens said NO. Why would Europeans ever think Americans would be ok spending our tax money helping someone that wouldn't help you?

Lav, if you ask other Europeans, you would probably say the same about their own systems, lots of problems, everybody has complaints....it's good to have options though...the USA is land of options. 🙂

It's a misconception that our healthcare is expensive. Most of us get it through our employer. 90% nationally, 93% here in California, 98% in Massachusetts...whoever is left over, there's normally a program at the state or county level to take care of them. And there's a federal program specifically for seniors to get free healthcare, and also for veterans to get free healthcare (I'm in that last category). My last job, it wasn't offered for free, but it was only like 30 USD/month, and I was making over 3000 USD/month. Of course I did not take the offer, as I have VA Medical (free medical coverage for veterans). Of course, being a moderate liberal from California, I support all those programs for the less privileged...we are one of the states that provides a stronger Medicare program, known in the state as Medi-Cal, for lower income individuals. Most of your anti-Trump states pay more into that program so there's more support for the poor. As far as your knee, surely it would be legal to go to an Urgent Care (privately funded and privately owned non-emergency medical office) to get it looked at sooner? In the USA, an Urgent Care facility is usually under $200 if you pay cash. 🙂

Temperature perspective gets me every time. In South Carolina today, it was a mere 32°C with a heat index of 42°C & my AC was set to 23°C to COOL down. It's now 11:30PM & I have my AC set to 22°C because it's currently 28°C outside with a heat index of 34°C.

The female is giving an absolutely ignorant view of the US system. In the UK you have glaucoma or cataracts.....wait 18 months for treatment. Need a new joint....wait a year or never. You do not have to have your credit card out to get care in US. Walk into any ER and you will be seen no questions. I have Medicare Advantage. I pay ZERO$ monthly. I pay $ZERO to see my regular doctor. I pay $35 to see a specialist. My wife had 3 surgeries in the span of a year. We paid out of pocket $1750. US best care in the world.

Fair play for your reaction. I lived in London for nearly 20 years and I know that people over there are not taught about what their government did in Ireland. It amazed me at the time but the government and media have obviously kept the people on the street in the dark. I guess that’s what a colonist power needs to do to keep their people believing they are the ‘good guys’
